Thermapen, Britain’s best-selling food thermometer brand, has moved into the baby market with a tool designed to safeguard infants and combat parents’ heat safety worries.
First Food Thermapen puts an end to trial-and-error by delivering an accurate reading in seconds, helping to ensure that the food is just the right temperature.
The casing also has inbuilt Biomaster antimicrobial technology to inhibit the growth of surface bacteria. The protection works 24/7 for the lifetime of the thermometer.
Managing director and co-founder of the Sussex-based company Peter Webb explains:
“Food, breast milk and formula can be heated and re-heated safely with our new product and guide. Many parents are unsure about correct temperatures, yet they are crucial for the preservation of nutrients and hygiene maintenance.
Microwaving alone for example isn’t enough, families must be able to trust and control.”
The Thermapen First Foods thermometer incorporates a large digital display with a precise read-out of temperature over the range of -49.9 to 299.9 °C with a 0.1 °C resolution and an accuracy of ±0.4 °C.
It is fully configurable using switches in the battery compartment. You can also choose to disable auto-off mode, choose °C or °F scales and select 1° or 0.1° resolution.
